4th Annual Tour de Pour Slow Ride in Bozeman

On August 22, departing at 6:00 p.m., the 4th Annual Tour de Pour Slow Ride will commence from The Pour House in Bozeman, Montana. This annual benefit supports the Bozeman Bike Kitchen, a cooperative cycling center dedicated to making the use of bicycles as transportation and fun possible for all members of the Bozeman community.

According to its Facebook page, the BBK's is where:

Community members come to the Bozeman Bike Kitchen (BBK) to learn to repair bikes, "cook" up new bikes from broken ones, and enjoy a culture of bicycles as transportation and fun. BBK collects donated bikes and provides the tools and volunteer mechanics to help anyone interested in learning. Bikes are then distributed to Bozeman citizens that couldn't otherwise afford a bike.

After launching the Slow Ride from The Pour House, riders ride over to Spectators Bar and Grill to enjoy some "grilled goodies," and then ride back to The Pour House for drinks and a raffle, where a new New Belgium cruiser bike can be won.

"The Tour de Pour started as just a fun ride," says Matt Simpson, New Belgium Montana Beer Ranger. "Three years ago we decided to use it to raise money for a good local non-profit. The Bike Kitchen ties in perfectly with the community and New Belgium. Specs and Pour House owner, Joe Domanski, has been a great supporter of this event, providing a free BBQ for all riders."
