Fraoch Heather Ale - Oldest Style of Ale in the World
Fraoch Heather Ale is back! It's been a few years since I've seen this beer in Missoula, and it's here just in time for spring. It claims to be the oldest style of ale still produced in the world. Originally made by the legendary Picts who ruled Scotland until the 9th century this ale uses Heather flowers for bittering. It has a distinctive floral aroma and a dry finish. Available at Wordens for $12.95 a four pack.
