Flathead Lake Brewing Will Expand and Move to Bigfork

The Flathead Lake Brewing Company has announced their new home will be on Holt Drive in Bigfork, at the old bowling alley.

Building owners, Sandy Clare and Elvira Johnston, are working to have the building open by mid-summer. New custom tanks are set to arrive in June 2012, and the brewery's beer capacity will be raised to 10,000 BBLs a year. Also new will be the addition of a canning line (12 oz. and 16 oz.) to work alongside the brewery's existing ability to bottle (in 22 oz. and 12 oz. formats).

In addition to more beer, and new the new canning possibilities, the larger location will also include a Flathead Lake Brewing Company Pub House (opening Spring 2014).

The new building is going LEED, and hopes to become the second GOLD LEED production brewery in the U.S.

Stay tuned to Montana Beer Finder for continuing updates on the new locations.

FYI, no definite plans are known as to what will happen to the existing Woods Bay location, but we will update you when those plans are announced.
